Bio: I have been a student of yoga for the past 9 years. I have learned how yoga has enriched my life with peace, meditation, strength and mind body connection. I studied at American Yoga 200 hrs in Deerfield Beach in 2013. My passion is Vinyasa Flow. Watching a student grow and develop a practice brings amazing joy to my life. Yin Yoga/Meditative Yoga
My classes are highly instructional with cuing in a way that is easy to understand and follow. My yoga sessions are designed to your level and specific needs including any physical restrictions. For the more experienced yoga student there are always deeper postures to take your yoga to the next level. My classes will be meditative, strong and intimate. We follow breath with mindful movement and concentration. Join me and share in the love of yoga.
Vinyasa Yoga is a more flowing class from one posture to another building strength, muscles and endurance. This is always very beginner friendly and based on your level of knowledge and abilities. There will be many postures. The class flow is as follows: Beginning short meditation, warm up, up/down postures, Standing postures, mat postures then closing abdominal work and meditation. Each class may very offering a variety of postures to keep in interesting on the pursuit of learning yoga. Class is quiet with spa type music playing while I teach the class through demonstration. This can be a good workout and a wonderful way to stretch, detoxify the body and meditate. Mind, body soul connection.
Yin Yoga: Yin yoga is holding a single posture for up to 5 minutes. There will be fewer postures then a flowing vinyasa yoga class and Yin is not meant to be strenuous or high impact. Yin is based on stretching the muscles. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. Ideal for a less strenuous, meditative stretching and decreasing/managing stress. Great for beginners and people looking to stretch while quieting the mind.
